POLIANSKE DEREVO S.R.L. (trading as Nord Builders) is committed to making nord.builders accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes our accessibility efforts and standards.

Conformance

We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as published by the W3C. The site is also designed to be compatible with EU Directive 2016/2102 on accessibility of websites and mobile applications.

Features supported

The site has been built with accessibility in mind:

Semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy, landmarks (main, nav, footer), and ARIA labels
Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements reachable and operable via keyboard
Skip-to-main-content link at the top of every page for keyboard users
Custom focus indicators with sufficient contrast (forest-green on light, amber on dark backgrounds)
Reduced motion support — animations respect prefers-reduced-motion user preference
Responsive design — adapts to all screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
High contrast text — body and primary headings meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately
Smart typography — text-wrap: balance for readable headlines, optical-sized variable fonts
Screen reader compatibility — tested with NVDA and VoiceOver

Known limitations

We continuously work to improve accessibility. Currently identified limitations:

The hero image carousel auto-rotates; users with motion sensitivity should enable “reduce motion” in their OS settings (we respect this preference)
Some third-party content (embedded videos, payment checkout) may have its own accessibility levels which we cannot fully control
